Manchester United are now 4.00 to finish in the top four after an unexpected defeat at Sunderland today.
The Black Cats went into the game as 5.40 underdogs but were never behind during the 2-1 victory though they had to wait until the 82nd minute before sealing the victory which came through a David de Gea own goal from a Lamine Kone header. Sunderland touched 9.80 to win the game in-play on the Betfair Exchange.
United trail fourth-placed neighbours, Manchester City, by six points having played one game more. Louis van Gaal's side have been backed at a low of 1.10 to finish in the leading quartet of teams but now face a tough battle to avoid missing out.
While United fans will be downhearted, the result is vital for the Sunderland faithful. Their side now sits just one point off safety, although they are odds-on at 1.45 to go down having traded at a low of 1.15.

Few teams were a shorter price than 1.47 Everton to win today but the Toffees were undone by a West Brom smash-and-grab. A Jonas Olsson opener in the first half was followed by a strong defensive effort to secure a much-needed three points for the Baggies.
